As always this issue is jam packed with the best western outdoor adventure stories we can get our hands on. The cover story by George Garrison about his Muscox hunt is an epic tale of man against the elements and overcoming the challenges the true Arctic landscape presents for big game hunters. We also go on The Hunt for ‘Masher’ where persistence and a good attitude help two hunters fill their tags on true trophies. Samantha Gangler gives us her Lesson Learned on a fantastic father daughter trophy elk hunt in eastern Oregon. Diana Anderson of North Fork Custom Rods takes us on a Girls Day on the Water as she and her crew hook in to some fantastic salmon fishing in southwest Washington. Of course we always have the sections you have come to rely on from Horns and Hooks including the Long Range Section, A Woman’s Perspective, Hooked on Gear presented by Sportsman’s Warehouse, and the Horns and Hooks Cookbook.

We are getting so many great stories coming into us for each issue that is tremendously difficult to decide which articles make it into the magazine. That means that the articles that are inside each issue are the best of the best. We feel the quality of this magazine is a testament to the amazing hunters and fishermen across the west who submit their stories to us and we cannot say how truly great it is to read about all of your great adventures and see the pictures to prove your tremendous success.
